To update: · Select the "window" menu from within the software. · Choose "Check for internet updates". This will update your software instantly to the most current version. How to create a transparent-backed logo design (transparent Gif for the web): There are two alternatives: i) select "Transparent PNG" fom the "Export" menu. no matter what background color you selected, it will now be transparent! This is great for programs that can view Png files (like Photoshop, Fireworks, Appleworks and the built in paint program found in Windows). ii) Create a transparent Gif for your site. · Choose a background color for your logo design that closely matches the web page that the logo will eventually be put on. · Select "Custom Export" fom the "Export" menu. · Click the "tGIF" button for transparent GIF. · Use the eyedropper to select the background color. Using the built in Shapes font: There is an embedded font called "shapes". Pull down the 2nd font menu to select The Logo Creator's built in fonts. (The top menu contains your computers system fonts and any other fonts you download from the net). Once you have this 'shapes font' selected, use your keyboard and type in the following to see what shapes appear. Create multiple logo design shapes by altering the gradients and various colors and outlines of the shapes!
With the shapes font - you can instantly have scalable shapes! Use the "Text Attributes" button to increase or decrease the size of the shapes! You can customize each and every logo with your own artwork (or from clipart and photo services that you find on the net). Pull down the "logo element" menu (it has changed to "modify" if you've updated your software) and select "New Logo Element". (read this the same as "import"). Select an image on your hard drive! Jpegs, Gifs, Bmp files, Tif images and PNG files are all fair game. When importing a picture or any other image to use with a Logo Creator template, make sure to click on the image (to select it) and then use the "Send to Back" menu command . This will move your image behind the text and other objects.
