Macintosh users can easily record flawless audio CD's and create CD or DVD backups of important data by using the simple drag and drop features of MacBurn.

MacBurn permits users to burn multiple sessions to the same CD (including mixed audio/data CD's), save and load "Burn Lists", create a compilation audio CD using multiple CD's, burn existing disc images (including ISO and Toast disc images), and erase re-writable media for reuse (CD-RW and DVD-RW discs).

In addition to offering the core burning features that consumers have come to expect in software burning utilities, MacBurn also provides users with a number of advanced burning and disk imaging needs. This includes displaying how much space is used and available on the disc, the choice to mount the finished disk on the desktop or eject it, the capacity to burn discs that can be read on a Mac, PC, Mac/PC hybrid and ISO 9660, and the ability to create disc images as Mac/PC hybrid and DMG. These options give users the ability to make a CD that shows up one way on one platform (Mac), and a completely different way on the other (PC).
