macXware Updates MacFonts

Improved Font Management for OS X Users

OMAHA, NE - March 18, 2004 - macXware™ (a division of Summitsoft Corporation) announced today an update to FontManager, a font management utility included in the company's MacFonts, the #1 selling font software for the Macintosh platform. The new enhancements provide users with increased management flexibility and preview options as well as a brand new user interface.

"The added functionality in FontManager makes previewing, organizing and activating your font collection easier than ever," states Ishan Amin, Summitsoft's VP of Product Development, "particularly with the one thousand TrueType fonts that macXware has included as a creative backbone of the MacFonts program."

The FontManager update now allows font users "user-specific" font management, a check-mark feature to easily install and uninstall a font permanently, and the ability to type custom text in a preview window with an assortment of type sizes, styles and color. A QuickReference Guide is also available to locate fonts and font families with ease (a PDF version of this guide can be viewed on the macXware website). macXware's new FontManager is a free upgrade to MacFonts users, and will be included in the upcoming release of MoreMacFonts, featuring 750 new TrueType fonts for OS X users to add to their MacFonts compilation or other font collections.

MacFonts is now available for purchase in Apple retail stores, CompUSA, Fry's Electronics, Microcenter and other software retailers or online for an MSRP of $29.99.
